UPDATE: We’ve been getting a lot of attention after our sand battery went viral. Due to a massive amount of requests and messages, our reply times can be very long. We appreciate your patience. Thank you!
Our first installation of the ‘sand battery’ really made the news. It all started when BBC News published an in-depth article and video about our heat storages, mainly about our first commercial sand-based heat storage in Vatajankoski’s power plant area in Kankaanpää, Finland and our pilot in Tampere, Finland.
We are completely overwhelmed by the positive (and massive) attention we have been getting for the last week or so since the story by the BBC News went viral. We are very grateful to you all about the great comments & feedback. We will be doing our best to get our innovation to as many places as possible, and hopefully make our small part in mitigating climate change.
